In an entertaining match the kids from Poole plus Steve were happy to swing the tide in their favour. On Bd 2 Greta unfortunately lost a piece early on and Zander took full advantage to win his game and the 1st point of the evening. Meanwhile on Bd 2 Peter and Steve were involved in an equal contest and both players were happy to agree a draw. On Bd 3 Harry played really well and was a bishop and rook up but managed to
give away both pieces in a end game that swung both ways, however, Will missed a perpetual checking tactic and Harry was fortunate enough to swing the game and win the another point, well done.
On Bd 1 Tony and Leo were involved in an equal contest which could have been a draw but Tony was in a little time trouble and despite putting up a brave fight eventually went down in a lost game.
Thank you Bournemouth for your hospitality and good to see some new players wanting to experience league chess in the Bacchus league.
