This match was originally scheduled for 7th March 2007 but Legal indicated two days before that they could not raise a team. Insurance offered to re-schedule and a new date of 18th April was agreed. Sadly, Legal found themselves in the same position in relation to the new date and conceded the match. By virtue of the new rule agreed last year [2006], Insurance’s game points score for this match will be equal to the average of their game points scores in their other two matches, subject to a minimum of 50% + 1 (i.e. 8). Following conclusion of Insurance’s remaining fixture against Commercial (which Insurance won by 7½-6½) Insurance’s average game points in their other two matches was exactly 8, so the Legal v Insurance defaulted fixture is scored Insurance 8-0 Legal.
