Thank you Alberto for hosting. Participants and the accompanying parents had an enjoyable evening. I am grateful that Simon Edwards was able to go over the games with the youngsters. It is encouraging to see youngsters play chess.

It was a very busy and enjoyable night, with plenty of juniors playing on both sides, while our C team D team battled in a division 3 internal match. Thanks to Ali for managing to bring so many players and to all the other Cheddleton club members who came to help going through the game afterwards, despite the fact that their C and D were playing tonight as well! Our board 1 was Isaac Stanley (e70) while our board 7 was Roisin Dasanayake (e20), I will ask Nic to add them to the list as I hadn't noticed they weren't there yet. Moreover, Martyn Stanley (e50) kindly accepted to stand down and played a friendly game with Roisin's sister, Omari (e20), so that the two girls didn't have to play each other.
