Although we won the match 2½ to 1½ the 1 point handicap given to St Andrew's D means the match was drawn 2½ to 2½, and since St Andrew's D had the handicap point they go through. I did notice, however, that when I selected our board 4 player, Johnathon Maxwell, from the drop-down box his grade came out at 1000. I had used 1225 which is his grade in the standard column of the rating list. If his grade of 1000 from the live column is used, the handicap comes out at a net 0.2, which then rounds down to 0. This would give East Hull C the win by 2½ to 1½. Difference bd 1 1728-1803 = -75 which is 0.2 for East Hull C Difference bd 2 1555-1406 = +149 which is 0.4 for St Andrews D Difference bd 3 1559-1315 = +244 which is 0.6 for St Andrews D Difference bd 4 1000-1194 = -194 which is 0.6 for East Hull C I'm not trying to steal the match; this is just something I noticed when I filled in this page. How do we resolve it, please?Match result
An unfortunate mistake but I'm going to have to let the result stand.
A recent reminder was sent to all captains that for players with a provisional, or "p", rating, the Estimated Rating list should be consulted.
