Interference of an ongoing rated Chess Games This may have been done without thinking! Tonight, someone picked up my pen that I was using to write my score sheet with and left it on the table next to me. So, when I can to write my next move on the score sheet there was no pen to use! At the time it was at a critical part of my game and it was a big distraction. I have another pen in my shirt pocket and thought I had put my pen in my shirt pocket. But there was only one. Then I notice my pen on the other table. I think someone had used it to update the score sheet! At the end of the game, I was very angry about this distraction and I ask all those who were watching the game who had moved my pen! No one knew or did not want to say who it was! Let me point out that this is a breach of the chess rules of distracting an on-going game! Article 11: The Conduct of the Players 11.4 Players who have finished their games shall be considered to be spectators. 11.5 It is forbidden to distract or annoy the opponent in any manner whatsoever. This includes unreasonable claims, unreasonable offers of a draw or the introduction of a source of noise into the playing area. So, whoever it was please do not interfere with an on-going chess game! Paul WeightmanBoard Colours
Reversed white and black at the request of Paul Weightman. Billingham had white on odd boards.
