Was a tough match between top two teams in division 3 with Wimborne going in with a better board difference. Simon P against Tony went down to a Rook and Knight ending with Simon having an extra Queen side Pawn but split King side Pawns. It was looking complicated and a fair draw was agreed to keep things tight from the outset. Richie played an aggressive game and managed to punch through the King side and cause trouble with advancing Pawns with a strong attack winning the game. Simon F also benefitted from an advanced Pawn pushing through to cause all sorts of troubles and eventually managed to capture a Rook which essentially sealed the win. Tarik went out on the attack but missed a fork which lost a Knight. From there it was a case of throwing the kitchen sink at Paul, but he defended well and improved his position to an assured win.
