David & Frank both drew. Then Chris lost and it was all down to Paul. Material was equal, but Paul had a couple of doubled pawns. There was an exciting finish as Paul began to gain on Mihail and finally Mihail conceded the game after a time scramble. The Southbourne Team did well to draw the match as on average they were outgraded by an average of 11 points on each board.

In an enjoyable evening's chess with some enterprising play from both sides the final outcome was a draw with the honours being evenly divided. Well played Southbourne for a good performance considering they were out graded on each board.
