A hard contest between 2 teams at the lower end of the Table. Of note : Simon Young's debut as a Wimborne E player. A hard game with chances on both sides with an honourable draw . Kyzystof's game against Paul was a marathon, where his superior pawn structure in the Queens on endgame proved decisive. Christine deployed the Cozio variation of the Ruy Lopez , which proved a hard nut to crack. The veteran David Lewis eventually overcame Graham Morris in a tight affair . All in all much tighter than the score reflects. Both teams struggling with consistency of team selection this season.

Penultimate game of the season a real 'toughie'

This was a tough match with some long games, which probably led to a few sleepless nights. Thanks to Wimborne for making us so welcome and I'd especially like to thank Graham Morris for driving up to Wimborne when we lost a player at the very last moment.
