Wimborne, as always were excellent hosts in their first Dorset league encounter. As expected, it was a very close match as reflected in the total grades of both teams (684 v 687). After 3 closely fought draws on boards 1, 3 and 4, Wimborne A were then unfortunate to lose on board 2 following a piece blunder when it seemed a draw was the most likely result. Congratulations to Peter Anderson for winning his first match for Ringwood in the Dorset League. Ringwood A have now completed their first half of the season with 4 wins out of 4 but no doubt all the other teams will be seeking revenge in the return fixtures.
