Nerw Milton made the most of their grade advantage on the top two boards, recording two early wins. Grades were identical on boards 3 and 4 where there were two much closer games. Alan and John agreed an honourable draw, while Tim and Peter went the distance. After Tim overlooked a great opportunity to win his opponent's queen, Peter rallied and launched a forceful counter attack to secure a mate. Well played New Milton who are looking strong promotion contenders as Division 2 begins to take shape. Conversely Wimborne C are looking early favourites to move in the opposite direction!
