The Dorchester default on bottom board was quickly neutralised when Allan uncharacteristically blundered away an exchange early in his game against Mike Waddington from which there was no way back. Tight games on boards 2 and 3 were going Dorchester's way, but Andrej dug in and frustrated Andrew who eventually blundered and resigned immediately. It looked like Geoff was busted, but got a perpetual check. Dave needed to be just a little more patient and get his king safe before picking up the pinned knight.

An eligible Dorchester player played an arranged club game moving to the top of the club championship. We were not told in advance that Dorchester A needed a player on board 4. I arrived at club too late. Well done both Weymouth teams against Dorchester on the same night.
