An exciting finish on board 1 to level the match for Highcliffe

A good competitive match which initially appeared to be going Southbourne A's way after a short draw on board 3, a quick good win by Len Laker on board 4 and then a hard fought draw on board 2. However, Christian Westrap played well to find a sacrifice of a piece on g7 and then eventually a way to win in a Q + 3P v 2R ending for Highcliffe A on board 1 despite having only 1 or 2 seconds on his clock at one stage. Clearly, he was pleased to have the 30 second increments! Thank you to the Highcliffe team for making this an enjoyable evening and good luck in your other matches.
