Interesting set of games. First game to finish was board 3. White won a piece for two pawns in the opening, but quickly lost the thread of the position and went from a huge advantage to having to find the only move to keep a sliver of advantage. A draw was offered and agreed. Next to finish was board 4. Black closed the centre and then started an attack on the king. The king survived, however white lost a piece and this proved the deciding factor. Next was board 2 and it made my eyes water. A very sharp position in the middle game where two pieces on each side seemed to be hanging. Every thing was hanging! White's king looked pretty exposed, but black had to be careful not to get himself checkmated down the h file. The tactics worked out for black and so he was able to pull out the win. With wins for black on both of Bournemouth's boards this meant the game was sealed. The final game to finish was board 1. White was down a pawn out of the opening and it wasnt clear that enough compensation was received for this loss, however this was navigated and a draw was agreed. Final result Bournemouth win 3 -1.
