Congratulations to Yeovil,

Congratulations to Yeovil, the verdict from my team is that they all had great games they all felt they were winning but all lost. All credit to Yeovil who stayed in the games. Excellent to have a new team in our league and we look forward to the return match . Merry Christmas all best RU

We felt like we burgled that

We felt like we burgled that one a bit! I was struggling all game and only won a pawn by accident, then found a fortunate tactic that simplified everything to a won endgame; Highcliffe's board 2 was a bit conservative in his attack and could have smashed through white's defences with a bit less caution; I didn't see much of board 3 but I gather white missed a win, turned down two draw offers and then capitulated to somehow lose. Many thanks to Wimborne for laying on the kit and arranging refreshments, even though we were supposed to be the home team! Some early feedback from your newest captain: As a club we've been blown away by the welcome we've received this season. The hospitality at Dorchester and Wimborne has been truly humbling, and everyone has been friendly and hospitable. Despite coming from outside the county and making most of you play at neutral venues you've welcomed us with open arms, which has made playing in your league a really enjoyable experience. Merry Christmas to all Dorset clubs, from Somerset. Adam.
