A hard fought entertaining night of Chess. First to finish was board 4, Steve attacked with 13 Nxa7 which eventually led to checkmate. Bill and John agreed a draw on Board 2 with ( from what i was told) no advantage to either player. Femi won on board 3 though checking Nicholas King repeatedly having to move his queen to the 1st rank to stop Black forcing a perpetual ( i think!) White won on time. Board 1 was last to finish , Steve had a pawn advantage but with opposite colour bishops and stout defending by Sam couldn't force a breakthrough and a draw was agreed. Thank you to Purbeck for a great night of Chess and congratulations to Bournemouth on the win.

At one point I thought

At one point I thought Purbeck were doing well with Boards 1 and 3 looking good for us but Sam and Femi fought hard and managed to get 1.5 points from the two games. As Tony said, a hard fought match and well done to Bournemouth.
