A local grudge match saw a rejigged Weymouth side well beaten. In a strong position board 1 Frank missed a double check and a knight and queen fork. On board 4 David refuted John's knight sacrifice and on board 3 whilst Malcolm struggled to activate his rooks John mopped up some pawns and it was 3-0. On board 3 neither player at various times could make a small advantage a big advantage and a draw was agreed.

Well played Dorchester. The result never looked in doubt and when I left I thought only Steve was in a position to avoid us getting whitewashed. In all the other games we were positionally dead from quite an early stage.
