An early loss for John against Ellis and then Ross converted against Stephen. Things looked very grim for me being the exchange and 2 pawns down but Dragi let me pin his Queen against his rook and I picked up a pawn as well and with both kings in fairly open positions and now just a pawn down either side could probably draw by perpetual check so I gratefully accepted a draw offer. This left the top board as the decider but with Reenen down on material when I saw the position the end looked inevitable and David duly collected the vital point to seal the match.
