SCCU County Championships 2024/25 season.
You can find the section fixtures and league tables (but not in tie-break order) in the Events panel on your left and participating counties from the dropdown menu under the "Clubs" tab on the top of the page banner menu. They can also be viewed together from the above Fixtures and League Tables menu options.
Junior County League Results From 2023-24 season junior league results are also available for the current season and from the Past Seasons tab on the above banner above.
The SCCU County Championships (which normally determine the Union's nominations for the national stages of the ECF Counties Championship) comprise the following competitions: Open; U2050; U1850; U1650 and U1450. All played over 16 boards save for the U1450 section at 12 boards. Surrey are the reigning national Counties Champions. Middlesex are the U1450 rating limited national champions.

Reigning 2023/24 SCCU County Champions are Surrey and in the rating limited sections: Essex U2050, Kent U1850 & U1650 and Middlesex U1450.

Eligibility to play for a County
During any one season (September to August) a player can only represent one county in competition (this may be a different county in online competition). ECF membership (minimum bronze level for over-the-board and Supporter level for online) is required as games are ECF rated. A player must be associated with a county in one of the following ways to be eligible to play for that county:
(i) Birth in that county.
(ii) Five years’ domicile in that county at any time.
(iii) Two months’ immediate previous and present membership of a club either in or affiliated to that County.
(iv) One month’s immediately previous and present domicile in that County.
(v) Present attendance as a student at a school, college or university in that County. The London Boroughs north of the River Thames have historically been part of Essex or Middlesex (with the River Lea dividing them) whilst those south as part of Kent or Surrey.

ECF County Challenge Summer 2021 Three southeastern counties participated in this pre-season warm up event. Results for the Major and Minor competitions both won by Essex can be found at: https://ecflms.org.uk/lms/node/36/previous
SCCU County Championships 2020/2021 In the 2020/21 season (during which the SCCU County Championships were not held due to the covid-19 pandemic) the Union held alternate competitions online using this ECF LMS site for the first time. You can select the events for the 2020 online alternate competitions that were held from the above 'Past Seasons' menu option.
SCCU ONLINE – MEMBERS’ TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2020/21 (comprising average team rated 2050 and 1675 sections) Surrey won the 2050 Major Essex Philpott won the 1675 Inter Individual inter county games took place within the County Challenge and occasional U1450 team matches in the Minor Preliminary.
