In the words of a Norwegian football commentator Ringwood "took one hell of a beating". My game with Mustafa ended abruptly when I lost a Rook and resigned. Martin Clancy was forced to surrender a Bishop for three pawns but Matthew's Bishops dominated the board and an attack on f7 ended the game. I didn't see much of the board 1 game but Martin Simons seemed to be worse in the late middle game with Michael duly converting. On board 2 Peter's Queen became over loaded and he lost a piece and the game. Thankfully for Ringwood Christian, in his favourite Catalan opening secured a slight plus out of the opening before the game drifted into a double Rook and pawn opening which was agreed drawn. It was a long drive home to Ringwood. My thanks to Roman and his team. Pete Donaldson
