There is no foundation to the rumour that Dave Agostinelli, playing for Soton A at Ringwood the previous evening, had been "got at". Get well soon Dave. On board 2 a nine move Grandmaster draw occurred. On board one neither player considered that they could play for a win and a draw was agreed before a three fold repetition could be made. On board three Paul succumbed to Rob's King side attack. On board five Adam converted an endgame where he was the exchange up. On board five had a thoroughly entertaining game with Kevin which was agreed drawn. Our thanks to Southampton for a great evening. Pete Donaldson
