Bispham only had 3 players, but tied the match up when Jakub won on board one. Board 3 was the next to finish which put Poulton back up 2-1. The last game went to the wire, with Simon a piece down but with a strong attack. Blaine defended accurately and eventually his extra material was too much. An exciting and closely fought draw to start the season for both teams.
