The first game to finish was on Board 4 where Graham lost a pawn against Andy but fought back to score a draw. The second game to finish was on Board 1 where Geoff offered a draw in a position with two pieces for a rook - this was gratefully received. William had a much better position in a rook and pawn ending with equal material - he showed good technique to make this count against Colin. Dave had a lot of positional pressure against Paul's K-side with a bishop pair and pawns moving forward menacingly. Eventually he was able to invade with his rooks and win the game.
