Lytham 3 managed a draw against a weakened Lytham 2 team. John Regan beat Matthew Fitzjohn (a late replacement) on board 3 and Andrei Short beat Ben Fitzjohn who was also a late replacement to put Lytham 3 two nil up. However, a brave performance by Colin Wilks was overcome by Colin Walker. Phil Raynor won a close match against Pat in a Queen and equal pawns endgame with Phil promoting a pawn from his queenside pawn majority.
