Sorry for late posting been

Sorry for late posting been on holiday!. Colin went for the jugular early on v me with an an early e5 pawn thrust..I won a pawn and the queen's come off but white has some pressure. In the end a pawn up I went for a same colour bishop ending rather than a rook ending which as it turned out offered no winning chances at all after some good positional play by Colin. Board 2 between Jim and Phil looked very complicated with Jim in the end forcing decisive material advantage. Board 3 finished quite quickly...Phil told me Dave overpressed in an early c5 Panov Caro Kann on the queen side and Phil's counterattack quickly won material. Board 4 was a marathon. After a long struggle from a Dutch Hambel was. a pawn up in an opposite coloured bishop ending which must be drawn technically.. However in the Allegro Hambel ground away and ended up 3 pawns up and was able to force a pawn through. Cheers Pete
