Board 2 finished first when Dave Aspinall lost his queen to a tactic due to an oversight. Andre Morgan-Short equalised for Lytham in the next game to finish. Phil Raynor and Geoff Pennington debated a Sicilian Wing Gambit: while Geoff had a lot of middle game play for the pawn it was Phil who was slightly better when they agreed a draw. Peter Wilson won a piece against Becky Kerton which enabled him to seal the result in favour of Lytham.
