South Hams struggling

South Hams were up against the wall here. Plymouth had booked premises for a double match (see Moyle) so SH opted to continue rather than push back a month (when there was no guarantee of a fuller team). In exchange, Plymouth opted not to play their strongest two. Tony Tatam suggested boards 1 & 3 be shown as played on; your league organiser pushed for it to be shown thus for integrity of colours (want one of each). I (NJB) would be hosting & captaining the Moyle side v Newton Abbot. Mick then put up a brave fight but was left a pawn down in an ending, while Clifford refused to give his opponent any leeway, finishing with N+5 v B+5.
