A close match, which would have been interesting had Lancaster had their full compliment of players. Alan was the exchange down in a rook endgame which Tom managed to liquidate into a won K+P ending. Nick sacked a Bishop and gained a lot of play against Ben. With time running short Ben, who was under pressure all game ,blundered a Rook and resigned. On board 4 when the players were just out of the opening Jonathan won a Pawn then a piece, and ground out the win.
