John finished first with a win. Mike's Queen was trapped on the Queen side for a lot of the game and this meant that I was able to get on top of his King. Paul got caught up in innumerable pins from Damon and was not able to stop being mated. Chris had a very hard struggle against Tarik and eventually managed to overpower Tarik after a long battle. Michal fought long and hard. His persistence paid off and Tim admitted defeat when his last pawn fell. Thanks to Poole for an enjoyable and hard fought match.Well played Southbourne!
