A hard match for Poole C as they had to default on board 2 when their player failed to turn up. Derek was out-rated on board 1 and mixed up his moves in the opening leading to the loss of a pawn - although he fought hard the additional pawn eventually queened. Both Michal and Matthew had tough games which looked like draws would be good results but both turned the positions round into comfortable wins. The match was interesting although there were lot of rating difference
