Roger overlooked a back rank mate that gave Purbeck an early lead. John and Paul were next to finish with a well contested draw. Nick pressed home a strategic advantage in the opening to win the match for Purbeck. Ron and Chris had a titanic battle in a complex game that swayed one way then the other and was eventually agreed as a draw.
