We welcomed Ringwood last night and all matches were hard fought. On board 4 Mark had an early advantage with black being tied down. Pieces were swopped off with mark keeping control and eventually managed to win the exchange and the game. On my board seemed not much happening until Martin tried a knight manoeuvre which looked good but fell into a trap where I did not recapture a piece but left 2 pieces emprise and came out of sequence 2 passed pawns up and eventually won. On Board 3 Niall had control of the game and looked like was going to win but Eddie just managed to hang on and a draw was agreed. Top board was exciting with Peter realising his team needed a win went for it by sacrificing material but Allan was able to keep the material and eventually blunt Peters attack and win the game. The win temporarily puts Wimborne top of league.
