A very exciting first match of new season. On board 2 Ian managed to play a poor opening and trying to open up made a horrendous error resulting in immediate resignation. On board 1 was a fairly closed position which eventually drifted to a draw. Board 4 was incredible going from win for black to white and back again but ending in a hard fought draw. Board 3 Mark had a strong position and appeared to be winning but made a slip after 3 hours of play to allow a draw. Thanks to Poole for a match fought in right spirit.
