Ken & John finished first after agreeing a drawn which was confirmed in the playthrough afterwards. John & Paul finished second and both were afraid of messing up the drawn position by trying to get through and failing. Jason & Simon finished third after an interesting game that Jason managed to lock up and then agree a draw. Anton & Paul finished last. Paul was ahead at one stage, and should have been able to promote one of his passed pawns. However, after a long battle and with bishops of opposite colours, the final draw was agreed. A good nights chess was had by all.
