Opening Round and tournament structure

38 players contested the opening round with no draws, so draw odds for progression to the next round did not arise. Round 2 will be an intermezzo round of 3 random pairings for 6 qualifiers to play before the year end to reduce the field of 19 to a last 16 for the next scheduled all-play date of 2 January 2024 (round 3). Quarter and Semi Finals will have no fixed dates but play-by dates to leave the last 2 standing to contest the Knockout Final at the Club on 28 May.
