The University contacted me at 23;36 on 15th February advising that they would be bringing five players for the match and would be defaulting on board 6.
At 17:57 on 16th February I received an email advising me that their board 1 player had broken her knee and would not be playing but that four players would be travelling.
At 18:46 on 16th February I received an email advising me that the four players would not be attending the match due to problems with a tree blocking the road.
These emails were sent to my computer at home and do not arrive on my phone until some 45 minutes later. I do not know why I never received a phone call.
Two of our players had travelled from the Wolverhampton area and one had travelled from a work appointment in Liverpool to play in this match.
In the circumstances Coleshill Chess Club wish to claim a 6-0 win.
