Another busy night at the Mals club with 4 well contested games. Newcastle carried sway on the middle 2 boards although they had to fight all the way. Congratulations to them and good luck in the final; although not too much good luck because they're playing Crewe's other team!!!!!!!

Well played Crewe with 4 well contested games. Boards 2 and 3 turning the match for Newcastle with two hard fought wins. We now have to overcome another Crewe team if we are to lift the trophy. Good to see so many people at the Crewe chess club.
