What has changed??
The LMS has undergone a major upgrade to new software. You will immediately notice the following differences:
- The link to login is now at the top right
- If you have bookmarked the link to your organisation in favourites it will not work any more. You need to find your organisation using the Organisations or Clubs links at the top. Then bookmark the new page.
- To ask for help, report problems, or make requests use the Ask for Help link at the top.
- Despite the difference in how it looks, everyone who had access before should be able to login, and update the same matches, in the same way.
For a detailed explanation of the changes see this page
Confusing Things
Sorry for confusion arising from the LMS upgrade. Some of the most confusing so far are:
- Clubs in the system used to be present as two separate things. Clubs belonged to leagues and had teams. But some of them also existed as Organisations. Some people used to find this confusing. Therefore now a club only exists as one thing in the system combining these two concepts together. However this change has created its own confusion!! ( see below )
- People who now have the access of club user, are able to do what a club owner could do before. All those who were previously club owners should have been changed to be club users.
- In the new LMS anyone who is a team captain can enter match results for their team
- Club owners are now people who can run events like club championships ( they used to be owners of the club organisations in the previous LMS)
- You can see what you have access to by selecting LMS Access from the drop down menu you get by clicking on the person icon next to your login id at the top right hand side.
