The first match to finish was an even battle on board 1 with both Bob and Ken each having 6 pawms and a knight each. This was followed shortly with John and Paul on board 4 also agreeing a draw with equal material. Pat managed to stave off a strong kingside attack by Les in an entertaing game which saw Pat going a pawn up and having a slightly better attack against a somewhat exposed king.Dave levelled the match with a bishop and rook advantage against Rays lone rook with equal pawns.
