The match was drawn with a score of two and a half points each. However, it was agreed on the night by the two captains, John Reid (Skelmersdale) and Stephen Deakin (Atherton), that Atherton were the winning team due to Atherton having a lower aggregate team rating than Skelmersdale. By way of explanation, Skelmersdale fielded two players, namely Paul Stanley and Bart Mchugh, who are not registered on the LMS system as Skelmersdale members. The LMS system does not therefore allow for their names and details to be entered on the match result. However, the confirmed live ratings of the said two Skelmersdale players (2075 for Paul Stanley and 1614 for Bart Mchugh) took the aggregate rating of the Skelmersdale team to 8345. As the Atherton team aggregate rating was 8136, it was agreed that Atherton were the winners.

Missing Player Details
I've added Skelmersdale's 'missing' players to the list for WDCL.
Both are listed, but as players for Skelmersdale in the Merseyside League.
It seems separate lists of eligible players for the two Leagues are kept.

Query?
How did you determine Paul Stanley's grade?
I can't find anything more than his name in the ECF listings.

Paul Stanley
We determined Paul Stanley's grade by both him and his captain (John Reid) telling us what it was on the night.
Following that, we checked the ECF website and there is a Paul Stanley registered under ECF code 25177C with an old rating of 183, which converts to just short of 2100 ELO. Hope that helps.
