Board 3 was the first to finish as white played very solidly and black responded in kind. A very closed position resulted after multiple trades with each side unable to move their bishop pairs around all the pawns to make progress. Next to finish was board 2 and although Paul was up a lot of time on the clock, the resulting position was a draw so that didnt matter. Board 4 was very double-edged with white fighting to keep material equal. Unfortunately he couldnt defend forever a Chris got the win for Soutbourne. This left Steve needing to win to tie the match and it had gone down to a pawn endgame which I think was probably a draw with perfect play, but in the end Steve played very accuarately and created chances which turned into a winning position due to a queenside majority. Overall result 2-2
