A glorious evening of chess!
A close keenly fought match by 2 evenly rated teams in the glorious sunshine where the enjoyment was more important than the final result.
Unlike Southbourne's previous Summer League match where there were a number of games that went into the 3rd hour, all bar one game were finished well before 9pm! Bournemouth were leading 4 - 3 with 3 games remaining but these all turned in Southbourne's favour.
A big thank you to the Bournemouth team for making this a great evening of chess which attracted a number of non chess playing individuals plus one seagull which took a liking for some of the pieces on the spare board!
