Round 2 was notable for Martin Page losing on an illegal move (leaving his king in check) when having Q & P against Julian Farrand's N & P. ABI/Zurich took a 1 pt lead, winning the round 2½-1½ when Geoff Naldrett, easily winning on time, sportingly agreed a draw in a drawn opposite bishops ending. ABI/Zurich 4½-3½ Ombudsmen.
