ABI/Zurich had only pride to play for in the last round and this, to their credit, they achieved, by sharing the points. A critical factor in this final show of defiance was the character shown by Bob Collins who, despite seven straight losses, had not lost heart and gained his only point of the event against Chris Tandy, who was thus prevented from joining Russell Picot as HSBC's top scorer.
This left the final score a convincing 21-11 victory for HSBC - many congratulations to them.
