The Hull and East Riding Chess Association organises a variety of leagues and cups for both teams and individual players throughout the year. Details about teams and cup draws can be found in our handbook.
- Leagues:
- Six Board and Four Board Leagues: Each with two divisions, running from September to May.
- Four Board Summer League: Featuring three divisions, running from June to August.
- Team Trophies:
- The Thomas Atkinson Cup (Six Board)
- The RP Ross Cup (Four Board)
- Individual Player Trophies:
- The Peter Hughes Trophy: For players rated 1800+, held every two years.
- U1940 and U1640 Knockout Competitions
- HERCA Championship
Additionally, we have three teams competing in the Yorkshire League:
- Hull & East Riding A & Hull & East Riding B: Competing in the first division (“Woodhouse Cup”).
- Hull & East Riding C: Competing in the fourth division (“Sunderland Cup”).
